Shingles

Hi ladies, I tested positive on day 9 after FET but now have shingles. Has anyone been in a similar situation? GP says consult with fertility clinic, clinic says consult with GP....spent all day on the phone. Has anyone had shingles during pregnancy and did not use the medication? GP (prescribed aciclovir) but not sure if I should take it

I had shingles during my only successful transfer! Just take aciclovir (dosage from doctor) and you will be ok xx

Ps. I took medication and was fine and baby is healthy x

hi Hope. Congrats on your BFP.

shingles isn’t a risk to your baby but pregnancy means your immune system doesn’t work as well so the aciclovir is to make sure you remain well (and therefore baby).
