Hi everyone, I've just finished a third round of IVF and got a BFN from my only embryo transfer. I've got severe endometriosis and low egg quality seems to be a persistent problem with all my cycles. My fertility clinic have suggested that I use testosterone gel for my next cycle to improve egg quality - does anyone have any success stories with IVF after using testosterone gel?

Hi! I was given testosterone gel for my second round. There are studies saying it does help with egg quality and amount of eggs. Sounds like your clinic is trying to help you, which is great. I’m not sure if it 100% made a difference, but I didn’t have any adverse effects and at that stage I was ready to try anything 😄.
Let me know how you get on!
I was prescribed it for cycle 2 after getting only one egg in cycle one. Unfortunately didn’t change anything for me but it didn’t give me side effects beyond a bit of acne.
Best of luck 🤞🏼
hiya! Take coq10 for egg quality! Its worked for me
Thanks! I tried coq10 on the last cycle and though I got one good quality egg (which I never had before!), sadly all the other eggs were still low quality. Did you use the ubiquinol form? I could try that for this cycle.
I just used coq10 (solar brand) but as I have PCOS and also have this powder called ovasitol (shipped from the US)
I had a round of IVF in November and retrieved 8 eggs and none of them fertilised which was so disheartning and someone told me about the above so I took it without fail! For 3 months (was told thats how long it takes for it to have effect but not sure)
I just had an egg collection 4 days ago, got OHSS so it was a bit painful but 30 eggs collected and 17 fertilised. Just waiting for tomorrow now to see how many made it to day 5 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽. Hoping that goes well ill have a frozen transfer in 6-8 weeks.
But honestly taking above changed everything for me! Of course please consult with someone but yeah cant recommend it enough
That's an amazing result! The best of luck with tomorrow, hope you get lots of embryos to freeze. Thanks for the tips, I think I'll keep on the Coq10! I only took it for a month before my last cycle so I'll try a longer period this time to see if it improves the results.
