Mammogram Screening

Good evening ladies, I’m just wondering if I can get your help please.

We are starting IVF treatment abroad and prior to start, I must have a mammogram screening test.

I’m just wondering where here in the UK I can have it done (privately unfortunately as I do not qualify for NHS yet) and how much does it cost?

I would love to hear your advice, thank you.

It's very expensive in the UK privately. I can't remember exactly but I think at least £700+. Spire, Bupa etc will do it. There's also compulsory consultant consultation fees of £200-300 on top.

It is only recommended abroad unless you are over 45. So if I were you I would query it with your clinic and they will let you go ahead without it or have a alternative cheaper examination. Or arrange it through your clinic abroad. For example, in Prague, you can get it for around £35 and book easily online.

Hi, thank you so much for your advise. I did not think I could have it abroad 🙈! Will ask my clinic today. Also, I have checked again and the clinic requires this test for women over 40! Thank you and take care x

I went to Harley St Londona nd paid £525 a couple of years ago. Ask your clinic if they know places. I found the blood tests abroad (I went to Spain) were so much cheaper than the UK so maybe having a mammogram done there would ve cheaper too.

I went to London Women’s clinic for a mammogram and it was about £400 x
