My THS level was measured in Germany a week ago and found 3.8. They gave me medication and told me that I cannot conceive with this level of THS.
A few days ago however, it was again measured in the Netherlands and found 1.4. They told me not to take medication to lower the THS.
My husband and I are losing our minds, literally. Does THS level fluctuate this much up and down? if so, why? Should I take medications or not? Did anyone experience that?

Hi. This is quite unusual. That's a huge difference. In my experience, it doesn't fluctuate like this so rapidly. I would advise testing it from the best lab you can find around, and somewhere where you can test again. And yes, don't start any medicine until you are 100% sure. Thyroid isn't to be played around with. Good luck!
Hi love, in very simple terms TSH responds to the value of your free t4 and t3. If your T4 and T3 are low your TSH will be high as it is trying to signal that you need to make more of these hormones. If your T4 and T3 are high your TSH will be low as it tries to stop or decrease the production of T4 and T3. Have you had the t3 and t4 tested as they really do matter. Only by looking at these value as well as the tsh you can determine what to do (has the first clinic given you a form of levothyrixine to lower the TSH ? ).
Unfortunately my t4 and t5 are not checked yet. I am looking for a new clinic to check them. The German clinic who found high THS gave me levothyrixine and the Dutch one who found very low THS asked me to not use it. We are really losing our minds.
I had my TSH levels measured early in Feb, both by the NHS in the UK for different reasons, six days apart. First time it was 0.9, second time it was 1.8. I thought this was odd aswell, but it seems like it is entirely possible.
Hi! I haven't experienced such TSH fluctuation but in my experience, as others have already suggested, you want to test all your thyroid hormones, as well as the TPO antibodies to make sure they are in good range for implantation. Good luck!
Thank you! I am trying to find a way to be tested again. It is too difficult to make the appointments here in the Netherlands unfortunately. Thank you for your advice.
Hi, I had such fluctuation once. My tsh was 3.7 and brought it down to normal levels 2.4 and I was taking the dose but not regularly and then suddenly I just measured it and it was at 5.8. I didn't rely on tests I visited the endocrinologist and she explained to me what to do. Now I am keeping it under control and it is 0.9 now. My endocrinologist said that I should keep to this level to have healthy eggs.
