Anyone had any experiences with a dominant or enlarged follicle seen at baseline? I’m a bit gutted as there seems to be one large follicle on my right and 5 on the left.
This is my worst count yet.
We have gone ahead with medication but feel worried. Last treatment cycle I had one which was dominant on the left I feel like it grew too large and prevented the growth of others.
They have tested for oestrogen and if it’s less than 200 it is not in danger of ruining the cycle which they said might need to be canceled in the worst case. I have waited three month for this cycle.
previously I had
feb 2023 3,5
august - 8,4
October 6-2 (this is the cycle I was given a protocol for then got cancelled)
Now 5 and 1

The good thing is they are aware of this dominant follicle and hopefully it will not grow Hope blood test results are ok and your good to go But if cycle has to be cancelled it is for the best of reasons - trust your clinic
Your post resonates with me, I’ve literally just had my baseline scan which also picked up a dominate follicle. Starting meds too but need to wait for blood test results to make sure it is ok to proceed. Wishing you all the best!
Mine came back fine so all ok to proceed. Unfortunately I didn’t know they were testing for fsh as well which has come back high and made me anxious, and will prevent me getting another cycle.
I’m still a bit worried about the dominant follicle too. Let me know how you get on x
Think I have a positive update ! Tonight will be day 5 of fostimon 226 and Meriofert 75
Just had scan - looking more positive with the left ovary having follicles of 13, 12,11,11,10 and the right 11,7,5,3 so essentially 6 total are growing at a good rate. (Last time I only had 3) Dr wants me to start frymael in the morning (day 6)
However I am just wondering - Can this be too early? It is my understanding that Frymadel Should be started depending on when larger follicles appear. Are they large enough? Will it stop the other meds working as well ?
