PGT-A testing

so after first cycle of IVF failing (1fresh and 1FET) clinic has recommended PGT-A testing, any success stories ? What if we get 3 embryos like last time is it worth doing on low numbers of embryos?

im going to be on short protocol this time with higher dose to get more eggs! She also gave us option of changing the medication from Meriofert to Pergoveris which is apparently more pure? Not sure whether to stick with Meriofert? Anyone had same treatment ?

37yrs soon

High NK cell and thyroid antibodies, on immune protocol

Hi Khram

On my last cycle I did PGT-A testing. I am 41 and only got one embryo suitable for testing from 8 eggs.

it came back chromosomally normal and I am currently 10w3d pregnant.

I will say my clinic said if it didn’t come back normal they would destroy it, as they would expect it to fail. My advice is to do sone research on it and discuss with your clinic again once you have more information so you can make an informed choice.

Sending you loads of baby dust xxx

Hi lovely, is that 1 normal out of 8 embryos? My clinic has the same price for testing 8 or 1 embryos…

Hi

No. So 8 eggs were collected, 6 fertilised but only 1 make it to 5 day blastocyst stage, so only one was suitable for testing.

It was tested, found to be eupiloid so they transferred it and that’s what I am pregnant with today.

Because I had already agreed to the testing I wasn’t given the option to just transfer it. Plus I hadn’t been on progesterone at that point so I wouldn’t have been able to anyway.

We did three embryo banking cycles at age 37. Cycle 1: 3 blastocysts, 2 normal. Cycle 2: 5 blastocysts, 2 normal.

My wife also produced three blastocysts and two were normal.

Before doing any transfers I had nk cell testing, 3D saline womb scan and endiome trio.

I used to be very sceptical of pgta but best decision in terms of my mental health and bank balance as we didn’t want to spend money transferring unhealthy embryos.

All the best for your treatment going forward x
