Looking for some sort of help I think! I’m all over the place but actually still stuck in exactly the same situation I found myself in nearby 4 years ago ! As my previous posts say we are knee deep in deivf … 5 transfers with top quality embryos & so far we have lost all 8 embryos 😞 we have 2 left in Prague.
Changed clinics , had. Emma , ALICE & ERA , changed protocols added embry glue & implantation is just not happening … looked into surrogacy 🤯 but it’s so expensive & our clinic don’t do it , could we transfer embryos bac to uk ? Find a surrogate.. or try & find out if there is anything not right with my cavity / womb ..
Thanks for reading & letting me rant
❤️

so so sorry to read this Ladycoco20 - you’ve been through so much, and I can only imagine the heartache you’re experiencing.
I was listening to a podcast about someone who had multiple rounds of ivf, failed transfers (8 I think) and then through tests found out she had ashermans syndrome, she had surgery for it and then had a miracle pregnancy after years and years of failure. I listened to her whole journey and the despair in her podcasts used to make me cry - because it resonated with me so much, just like your post does, infertility is the absolute worst feeling and robs us of so much.
Sometimes it’s good to investigate all you can though, before you can be at peace with moving on. I don’t know if this is helpful at all, but just know you’re not alone and it’s absolutely bloody crap. I hope you can get some good advice on other areas to explore before surrogacy. Sending lots of love xx
Thank you for sharing this , it all helps when you’re drowning ! I think we need to do some further investigation … my clinic are not the best with advice tbh & that’s been so frustrating & upsetting… my trust in any medical professionals is very poor.
I’m 48 this year so we just don’t have much time left . Your kind words mean so much .. thank you & hoping your looking after yourself on this difficult journey xx
Sometimes stories of ‘oh I know someone who did this and it worked bla bla’ doesn’t help. But when someone is successful after trying everything, exploring everything and not giving up - it really gives me the hope to keep going. And makes me accept this road is not going to be easy but I COULD get there. Hope is all I have really - I’ve not been on the ivf journey as long as some (5th year TTC 2nd year ivf) but it consumes me everyday. I just hope you find peace with this all in some shape or form ❤️ xx
I can’t really help but I just wanted to say how sorry I am, what a journey you’ve had 😞
From others experience I would do some further investigation - EMMA, ALICE, look at NK cells, immune therapy & intralipid use. I’ve read so many posts where this worked after recurrent miscarriage or no implantation.
I’m so sorry lovely this must be heartbreaking! Have you seen a reproductive immunologist? I would really recommend this- can often be an issue especially when using donor embryos as your body can see them as a threat and attack them. I would recommend KIR testing and blood clotting testing etc - it made all the difference to me. Xxx
I’m similar to you. Almost 48 and 6 donor embryos down…. My clinic don’t recommend EMMA ALICE or ERA. They just say it’s a numbers game and to keep going. I’m on a refund programme and they say they cannot remember the last time they issued a refund so I’m clinging onto that. I know it’s hard but try and stay positive. That’s my aim this time. Positive thoughts to attract positive energy. I’m also having a few extra bits added on for this transfer.
I only just started IVF but been doing lots of research and found out that sometimes it could be an issue with your immune system. Ask your clinic about doing a test to see if your killer cells have something to do with the implantation issues! They do either a blood test that tests your whole body immune system or just a smear of your uterus lining!
