Blighted Ovum

Hello

Unfortunately my 7.5 week scan showed a blighted ovum, so now I'm just waiting for the mc to happen 😔

This was my 3rd transfer (1st fresh transfer: blighted ovum, 2nd, FET: missed miscarriage at 5 weeks).

I'm wondering if all embryos from the same batch will have the same problem? 😏

Does anyone have any success stories after recurrent miscarriages from the same batch of embryos? Would you recommend getting the remaining 2 tested?

I’m really sorry. I had 3 transfers and 3 miscarriages plus a natural ectopic. Before my 4th transfer I had all tests done, and extensive nk cell testing and treatment, and this round was successful. It would be something to consider I think x

Thanks for your reply. When you say you had tests done, do you mean tests to try to find the cause of the miscarriages?

Did you also have your embryos tested?

Just wondering whether they found anything and whether you had to have additional treatment or do something different for the 4th round?

Yes for miscarriage. My ivf clinic did the standard tests which came back normal then after my 4th loss I went to another clinic to have nk cells tests and those came back abnormal. I had steroids and intralipids for my next transfer. I didn’t have the embryos tested largely due to cost and I didn’t have loads to test + they were frozen when I was age 33 so not super old in IVF terms so for all the embryos to be dodgy batch was unlikely xx
