I got my first BFP following ICSI cycle, however at 6 week viability scan they could only find gestational sac so they feel most likely a blighted ovum. They made an appointment for me in EPU when I should be 7 weeks, for re scan and management plan. I couldn’t help but google of course.. I do have a tilted uterus so I’m worried that’s playing a part in all this, but that’s probably just wishful thinking. Just wondering if anyone has had similar experiences? Don’t know what to expect x

I'm so sorry hon. I've just been through the same thing about a month ago on our second transfer. I'd never heard there was a connection with a tilted uterus, which I also have. You might like to know that we do have a toddler from our first transfer.Sending you big hugs xxx
I have a retroverted uterus - which is described as a form of tilted uterus - so if you have the same it shouldn’t cause you any issues at all with getting pregnant. I’m currently 9 weeks and 5 days pregnant- with a donor egg.
I think I read that 20% of the world’s population of woman also has this condition also
I have a retroveryed uterus too and one of the junior nurses couldn’t get a good enough view for my lining scan and had to call in her senior. I think it can make scans a little tricky.
I had a scan at 6.1 weeks at the hospital and they said empty gestational sac, most likely blighted ovum. I called my clinic and they said not to jump to conclusions and come back to them to check what was happening. Then at 6.4 weeks their scan showed gest sac with yolk sac, embryo and fetal pole, and measuring ahead by a few days as well... so to this day I have no idea what happened in that first scan. I think you’re on the cusp of what can be seen vs can’t on a transv scan at 6 weeks so I would definitely check in a few more days or a week... also depends on the expertise of the person doing the scan I think. And your uterus may make it more complicated on top I guess. I certainly thought it was game over and it wasn’t in the end... wishing you luck and all the best wishes possible x
