Hi everyone! How does your clinic induce your period if you don’t have it naturally? My clinic failed two months in a row to induce mine so I am losing confidence….

inducing period
Hi Freshcucumber. Usually some form of progesterone is used. I’m sure they will find one, or even prostap. Good luck. Diane
I know Provera is sometimes prescribed for this x
noristherone is what my clinic used but isn’t part of treatment it was just to induce a period as I hadn’t had one following a prostrap cancelled round before we could start treatment if that makes sense x
I have taken norethisterone for 7 days, otherwise I’ve heard of people taking provera for roughly the same amount of time. Maybe you could ask your clinic about these options instead?
I've taken noristherone to induce period as hadn't had one for almost 2 months. Not sure they like to use it too often though.
My very first clinic gave me microgynon (something like that) so they could time period which I assume also helps induce period too.
My cycles have been all over the place since I started the IVF journey last year 😔
Norethisterone or Provera twice daily for 7 days, is what my clinic use for taking control of my cycle.
thank you so much for coming back to me. It turns out I have a hemorrhagic cyst on my ovary, not sure what it means for my FET… I guess it’ll be delayed but no idea how long for… Will call the clinic tomorrow x
