NHS - second cycle. I was told my next cycle would not go ahead after being given medication plan - such messing around (Story on page if anyone is interested). So I appealed it. By the time someone got back to us me and my husband had tried to conceive naturally (for what its worth) so were told we would have to wait until the next cycle. Having come on my period I called the clinic to get medication ready to start - starting nohisterone on day 18. The nurse checked my dates and told me I wouldn’t be able to go ahead this cycle as key dates are going to clash with xmas closures (fresh transfer approx worked out for xmas day???)

Im gutted. I have spent the past month psyching myself up for it. Now I will we waiting another six weeks :(

Its so emotionally draining. I dont know what my plan will be

The nurse worked out christmas day for transfer?!?. I couldnt write down her dates exaxtly. However, I’ve just done the dates and it only takes me to 15th December for egg collection?? So 21st Max for fresh transfer if thats even possible??

So sick of messing around with life on hold and the emotional stress.

Hi lovely,

So sorry to hear your being messed around, can totally relate to it being a complete drain on your life, physically and emotionally. However I responded on your other post regarding the funding and I just wanted to say that it’s really positive you still get this second chance on the NHS, that’s really good they reviewed it and saw sense! Hopefully you can enjoy the Christmas period, i ate and drank whatever the hell I wanted prior to starting our third transfer which was due the following feb/march time and it done me the world of good to just relax and worry about the round in the new year! Easier said than done I know but please try and enjoy yourself this festive period as much as your able. Wishing you all the best x

Thanks so much for your kind thoughts. It wouldnt have been difficult for them to work out the dates last month so at least I could have had things straight in my head. Oh well more time to stew and dose up on vitamins 😂 So you ended up pregnant naturally??

Take it as a chance to enjoy the festivities! Yes we did by some miracle, I have low AMH however our first round failed to implant and second we had none fertilise so this was a complete shock for us, then day after our consultation for our third round we found out we were pregnant naturally amazingly. I never thought I’d be ‘one of those’ stories but it just proved to me it can happen even when you really think there’s no hope. Fingers crossed for you x
