Dear all, I had my transfer 8 days ago but on the 6 day post ET my progesterone dropped pretty low. It was 12.2 on the day of transfer but on day 6 dropped at 5.07. Has anyone experienced the same thing? Is this normal?

Hi I didn’t check my progesterone levels after embryo transfer except on the day of transfer but I was given cyclogest (as most ivf patients were) which are progesterone supplements through pessaries that I needed to use in the morning and night each day. Were you given any progesterone ? Best to check with your doctor !

Thank you! I did check with my doctor he says that it is normal. But, I don't think so. I was taking progesteron suppository 3×200. I am curious to know if anyone has experienced the same?. I checked literature but there is not much written about the levels of progesteron post ET.

When is your blood test? I would ask them about why your levels have dropped so much, they should be in the teens as far as I know (I had a couple of cycles when my levels weren’t optimal). Wishing you the best!

Hi ET. It is low, but just carry on with all prescribed medication and test on the day recommended by your clinic. Good luck. Diane

I did the test today its negative 😥. My doctor keep saying it is normal to experience such drop of progesterone level. We have got another embryo and will try again.
