5 IVF cycles
4 FET’s - (1 daughter, 2 mc’s & a failed transfer)
We don’t want to do full IVF again, but if that’s failed, is there any chance IUI could be a success??

Hi Mrsjaytee. Of course there is a chance, I have heard of successes. If you have a regular cycle and all is well with your partners sperm, see what your specialist thinks. Good luck. Diane
I think there is always a chance. Have you asked your specialist for advice? Ask your specialist if you can do this and what are the chances for it being successful. Sorry to hear about your failed IVFs. It must be tough.
Hello dear. This is something i wondered at the beginning and during our 4 ivfs.
Some doctors said if it didnt happen for years naturally it wont happen with iui so dont waste ur (our) time.
Some doctors said our semen sample wouldnt even survive ivf we needed to do icsi.
So i think there must be a chance but depends if you have male factor and who you speak too. Always worth asking imo
Xx
there is of course a chance, a slightly higher chance than timed intercourse but definitely much lower than IVF, especially if you use ICSI. I’m not sure if you’ve had IUI before but for me it was just as draining physically and emotionally as IVF and on the medicated cycles it was similar to IVF except for the egg collection part. I know it’s cheaper but the amount of times you may need to do it before getting a positive result could easily well exceed the cost of an IVF round. Just something to think about but it may be an itch yoj need to scratch and I get that too xx
In IVF, sperm and eggs are fertilized in a laboratory environment and placed in the uterus. IUI is the direct placement of sperm into the egg. We can say that IUI is no different from natural pregnancy. Since pregnancy cannot occur naturally, IVF treatment is performed. That's why I don't think it's possible.
