Total Failed Fertilisation

hi all,

just wondering if anyone can give me some hope of have been through what I have?

i am 23, tried both Ivf and icsi and all cycles received failed fertilisation.

willing to keep trying but just need some positivity

Hi Bass. Sorry you have had problems, but wondered if you have had ICSI or just IVF. Perhaps you need to speak to the embryologist to see if the reason for failure to fertilise can be explained. Good luck. Diane

so sorry to hear this. Has your partner had sperm issues? If sperm analysis ok worth looking at getting sperm dna fragmentation tested and asking about Zymot chip and IMSI. Look at “it all starts with the egg” for egg quality advice. You’re young so keep hope and I really hope you get some answers and solutions.

Really hope you get some answers and success. Don’t give up! There’s still loads to try and do. I really feel men are underinvestigated in fertility and semen analysis does not tell whole story. I think with your age it seems to me unlikely egg quality is major issue but it’ll be interesting to hear what the embryologists think is the problem. Good luck

I don’t know they only checked the sperm analysis but after three failed fertilisation with ivf, icsi and calcium activation they’re blaming the egg now and saying they can’t do anything about it

Get a second (and third) opinion. Definitely do sperm dna fragmentation. A bit more digging x
