Poor fertilisation

hi all. I need some positive stories… we collected 8 eggs yesterday and were really happy given last time we only managed to get 2. This morning we got an update that only 4 were mature and only 1 was fertilised. That was a massive shock given how long we’ve been preparing for this cycle, how many supplements we took etc. there is a chance they will transfer it tomorrow. Did anyone have any success with such low chances?

Hello, I've had some pretty similar numbers (have a look at my bio) - only 1 fertilised on my first round but it made it to blastocyst, albeit it ended in a chemical pregnancy/early miscarriage. Then I had none fertilise (which was horrific). But on my 3rd round 4 fertilised and I'm currently 10 weeks pregnant with the one that made it to blastocyst You're always in with a chance whenever you get fertilisation - best of luck to you x

Yep, I only had 1 fertilise from 3 eggs collected. This embryo became my now 2.5 year old little boy 💖 it was my most disappointing cycle numbers-wise and at the time I thought it was hopeless and cried for days after the embryologist’s phone call. But… that one little embryo was the one I had been waiting for 🙏🙏🙏 I hope the same happens for you 🍀🍀 there is every chance this is the one you’ve been waiting for 🙏 keep positive xx

There’s hope! Out of 10 eggs I only had 1 fertilise normally and it was slow growing. But he is now toddling around and giving cuddles. I never thought it would happen with such poor numbers but it did! Really hope you have some good news x
