Fertilisation

So after 6 eggs collected yesterday, 1 wasnt mature enough for sperm injection and just got the call to say only 2 embryos have fertilised possible a 3rd

Trying to stay really positive as 2 possibles 3 is better than none, might have to be a 3 day transfer so keep everything crossed!!!

Took today off work to recover from ec now just don’t feel like I can face going back in tommorw and Friday anyone else ever feel like they just don’t want to face people? Xxx

Firstly, congrats on having some fertilise! It's quality not quantity. I went off sick from work the day after egg collection. I've now got a sick note till the 11th feb. It's my last cycle, and work is really stressful, so didnt want to get caught up in it all. I'm lucky I get sick pay. If you don't feel up to going in, phone in sick. Work is just work! This is a very important part of your life, so focus on yourself x x Good luck for transfer x

and I think I am going to my work is also stressful as just don’t think it’s the right thing considering I might have transfer on Friday want to make sure I give it it’s best shot!! Xx

Hi Gem. Just wanted to wish you every success with your embies. Years ago, we only ever did Day 3 transfers as we didn't have the expertise to grow them on to Day 5. Thankfully, we still had many successful transfers. Could you get your GP to sign you off for a week for a "medical procedure"?? Worth asking, or self certify. If you're not feeling up to it, you won't give your best at work. You're important and come first. Thinking of you. Diane

Hey lovely we had six eggs, three made it to day two. Was advised three day transfer. I nearly never went because thought no point only 5 day transfers worked best. Went for transfer to be told only two good for transfer so had both put back. I had no hope at all and was beyond shocked to get a bfp.

I am now 22 weeks pregnant!

You don’t need lots just a good one or two.

Hi hunny, I’m in a similar situation, we had 6 collected yesterday and we had the call to say 3 have fertilised. For me that’s amazing as I didn’t get any eggs on my last cycle. We will also be on a three day transfer on Friday and I’m jut keeping everything crossed that some of the 3 make it that far as I’d at least like a chance of going through the 2WW. I’m in work today and kind of regretting it as my tummy is sore and I can not concentrate!! Fingers crossed for you on Friday hunny 😘 x x

Honestly speaking its a pretty good outcome. Just hope that the quality is good. If that is so then you are good to go. The quantity doesn't matter mainly because at the end you are going to be going for maximum 1 or 2 embryos. Good luck to you. I hope things go well. I can very much to relate to not facing people part. I generally don't tell people anything due to this reason.

My egg collection was last Friday. Only 2 fertilized for us too!! 1 made it to day 5 blastocyst grade 3ab, which I had transfered today 👍👍 hang in there I know these few days waiting are a nerve wreaking nightmare xx thinking of you during your wait xx

The only thing that matters is the quality of those eggs. If the quality is good then it will work out even if the number is less then that. Just take good care of yourself. Stay strong and positive. Good luck! Have a nice day dear.
