Clearblue weeks test are they accurate? low beta 9dp5dt

hey 👋

so I sent a medichecks test away at 9dp5dt and it’s come back 55 so quite low positive which I’m really gutted about. I know technically it is about doubling time and sometimes the embryo implants late….

my OTD isn’t actually until 14dp5dt so was thinking of maybe trying a clearblue weeks indicator test (I think the cut off for 2-3 wks is 150+)

does anyone know how accurate these tests actually are that they correlate with hcg levels?

Urine tests are not as sensitive as blood tests so it wouldn’t be a definitive answer and may cause more worry. I did a CB digital a week after my blood HCG expecting a leap in weeks and it was the same - turns out on the same day a urine HCG level is much lower than a blood HCG level - and add to that the CB digitals can be quite flaky!

Ok thanks for the info! Suppose I’m just grasping at straws wondering if I could find out tomorrow rather than have to wait till Tuesday. It’s all a horrible wait

Hi. I’m not sure about the tests but just wanted to say that I had quite a big bleed in my most recent TWW and HCG level was only 23 on test day so the EPU said that I wasn’t pregnant. I had to go back to check numbers continued to go down but they actually went up and I’m now 9 weeks pregnant. Still don’t really know what happened and I’m still 🤯 but I guess I just wanted to say that 55 could still be a good thing and try and hold out til Tuesday. I know the waiting is horrendous!! Lots of luck xx

Hi

I think your numbers seems a bit low because it's early? Most of the research (saying hcg should be over 100) is for day 12 bhcg? Did your clinic do 9 or was it one you did separately?

I had one at day 13 and only 105. It shot up to 700 by day 17 but unfortunately failed. However, if you're day 9, if it doubles in 2/3 days you should be on track!!! Are you having another on day 12?

Good luck it's such an agonising wait!! I've just had another positive test myself and going for bhcg tomorrow (day 13). Fingers 🤞

oh ok! I thought >100 was for 9dp5dt but maybe I’m wrong. I will be getting another one done on Wednesday hopefully. I’m still feeling nauseous which I suppose is a good sign somethings happening.

Congrats on your positive test!!!! That’s great, let me know how you get on I hope it’s a good result 🤞🤞

Also not sure it was obvious but it was 9 days after a 5 day embryo transfer (so technically 14DPO?)

I'm pretty sure most of the research is 12 days post 5 day transfer! What day will you be for your next one??

I will be 15dp5dt! I’m going to get some urine tests today too just to pass the time and become obsessed 🤣🙈

This time I had a series of hcg shots before, on and after transfer! So I tested that out (started testing 4 days before the actual transfer and have tested every day since! Haha)! They faded to almost nothing by 4 days past transfer and got stronger again from 5 days! I'm 12 days today and it's strong now! (Last time when my hcg was low-ish, the line was relatively faint). So I'm gona keep testing for now!

So if you had 55 day 9, it should be 110 by day 12 (if doubling every 3 days) and then 220 (or more!) by 15!! :-)

So did a clearblue and it’s 2-3 weeks! Came up with pregnant quite quickly, also did a normal boots one which is looking ok I think? I don’t really have anything to compare to for 12dp5dt obviouslt quite awhile to go but will 🤞

I had trigger shots before and after transfer too! Although my clinic use them for natural frozen transfers! Got my fingers crossed you get a good result tomorrow!

also we must have transfer on same day? 1st august?

Yes 1st Aug!! I haven't ever done a weeks indicator! Might try one! I only have the one hcg unless I ask/pay for another! Will see what the first level is first. But 2-3 seems v good and suggests yours has increased! Exciting!!
