No period after norethisterone during fertility investigation -really worried.

I am currently in the early stages of fertility investigations after not having a period for 12 months. I was prescribed Norethisterone for 10 days 3x5mg tablets and was told to expect a period within 2-3 days. It has been 4 days now and nothing. I am really worried. I am going to call the clinic back today, but I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else?

I quite often get a bleed about 4-7 days after finishing Norethisterone. I’ve been told 2-3 days before too but I think they’re being quite optimistic with that one! Hopefully it should start soon xx

Hi HollyHogan. I believe it can take up to 7days to bleed, sometimes longer. No need to panic yet. Easy for me to say. Good luck. Diane

Hi there - I was told the same and it took me 10 days to bleed after Norethisterone. So hang in there!

hi holly, I hope you’re okay. I was also given Northisterone, and on day 4 I started spotting.. it wasn’t until day 6 that I got my first full flow of bleeding. So it can take longer for some. Fingers crossed you will start soon
