My clinic just called about my embryo development. It is day 5 and I need to do ‘freeze all’. The clinic are freezing one at 1BC (5AA is the highest). There is also one that’s slow growing and a morula. I’m hoping so much that the slow grower and morula make it to blastocyst stage but I don’t know how realistic this hope is.
What happened with your slow growing embryos and morulas on day 6?
Any had anyone had success with a frozen transfer of a 1BC?

It's good to know that morulas can keep growing and make a comeback on day 6 Eloquentia ! I will know about mine later this morning. Thank you for sparking some extra hope
I had two quick growers and two slow growers who made early blastocyst on day 6. They were graded c and the embryologist said they looked quite good almost bs and good enough to freeze Xxx
Happy to hear your slow growing ones caught up and were suitable for the freezer My one made it too but it's a poor quality one. Still I'm really grateful to have made it this far
In my experience, it's down to how the clinic handles it. At my NHS clinic, they transferred my slow growing one in the hope it might take. Sadly it was an unsuccessful round. Whereas at CRGH, my two slow growing embryos were disposed by the clinic on Day 3 because they believe they didn't meet their standard. They did tell me on a phone call but rejected my plead to keep them and transfer them. I had nothing to transfer in that round. I think if my slow growing embryos had been transferred and there's no pregnancy, I would have dragged down CRGH's success rate, hence the decision. x
LRed that must have been so upsetting after everything you went through to get to that point I lost some on day 3 too but in my case the clinic explained that they were abnormal rather than just slow growing
Hello. Our embryos were slow-growing, so much so that on day 5 they couldn't even be graded - one had just reached early blastocyt stage and the others were morula at best. Freezing wasn't an option (I think because we'd used frozen donor eggs) and the clinic said the embryos would have the best chance inside me. They suggested we transfer two to have a better chance of a single pregnancy, but warned us that our chances of success were still low. I'm now 21 weeks pregnant with twins 🥰 I don't know what will happen for you, of course, but slow-growing embryos can make it, so please don't lose hope xx
Thanks JustJane1234 . That's amazing that you now have twins on the way. I was at high risk of OHSS so couldn't have a fresh transfer but they could freeze. Two early blastocysts are now waiting until my cycles are back to normal, so fingers crossed! Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy
