I am afraid I dont have good news personally (I transferred 2 day 5 morulas last round but BFN) BUT when I found out they were morula I spent ages googling and OMG there were soooo many good news stories out there!! So try not to panic! Even on here there are loads!
Also, eggs don't all follow the same path. So for example last round I was told I had an absolute perfect embryo on day 3, we were beside ourselves! This was IT! This was the one that would be a perfect blasto!! well it stopped developing about an hour later! But some of our more wonky ones survived! it only takes one remember so this could be the one - sounds like a fighter already! Good luck xx
Omg your reply brought tears to my eyes ❤️You’re so nice thank you! I’m so sorry to hear about your struggles...this is such a difficult patch it’s so hard to keep strong cycle after cycle! 💋
I'm so sorry to hear that. I can understand how gutted you must be. From 9 fertilised you would have expected a couple of blasts but unfortunately this ridiculous process means you never know what's going to happen.
That said it also means that they're is no reason this one won't implant and be the only one you need. You are not out of the running yet so let's hope that little embryo can get comfy.
Hello, yes I had success with a morula on day 5. I had two morulas transferred and I am currently holding my 5 week old son in my arms. The success rate may be lower with morulas but they can absolutely result in pregnancy so please don’t lose hope! X
Hang on in there you are a tough cookie! 🍪 💪 I had a morula transfer and although it wasn’t successful, my clinic told me that they’ve transferred 2 morulas resulting in twins several times. 🤞 xx
Oh tough cookie, I’m so sorry to hear this. Sending loads of positive vibes for your morula! I haven’t had the same experience but reading the other stories will hopefully give you some hope.
I am so sorry to hear this, but I have also heard SO many positive stories so don't give up hope on your little one! If you do try again, I wonder if the doctor said anything about the quality of the sperm and whether you should try with your owns and a sperm donor (this is what I ended up doing)? xx
Thank you starfish ❤️No the embryologists have said that our sperm is good we also did ICSI and funny enough we never had this problem with MY eggs! We’ve always reached blastocyst stage and even good morphology 4AB, 4BB....so it’s really surprising to have this result with a 27 year old donor! (I’m 40!) xxx
I am so sorry to hear this - it must be so frustrating. They always say IVF is an art more than a science. Just try and stay positive - motherhood IS going to happen, it is just a matter of time. Persistence always pays off xxxx
Don’t lose hope. I transferred 2 5d morula and 1 early blast 6 days ago. So I have read positive stories about morula stage on google as well. Hoping it works
Every transfer has a chance! We have had 5 top quality embryos transferred and every one of them failed. Our last chance effort was a lower grade FET and it’s been my only positive.
Hi, I had success with a morula transfer too. Out of 19 eggs collected I ended up with two morula embryo’s which I had transferred back in March. 9 months later, I now have a week and a half old little boy in my arms. Things may start off slow but they can definitely catch up and implant as normal, it makes them extra special. Wishing you lots of luck xx
There’s nothing to say this one won’t work! It might be deemed slightly ‘lower quality’, but I’ve come to realise this means nothing!!! I had 20 eggs collected, 18 mature, 10 fertilise, 8 develop into blasts, some on day 6 but all good enough to freeze! So we could select from a huge bunch, we put a 1,1,10 hatching blast back in (the very best grade) and it failed. Yet I know others who had just 1 fertilise and make it to day 6 and it worked! Fingers crossed for you! It only takes one! If it doesn’t work this time though Levey also heard of others collecting again and having a completely different experience! After getting only 1 or 2 in one round, getting 5 or 6 the next!! Really hope this first one works for you though! Keep us updated xxx
Hi a similar thing happened to me, we had 7 eggs collected, 5 fertilised by ICSI & on day 5 3 had arrested and 2 had made it to early blast/cavitating morula, I’m 38 so was advised to transfer both back in the hope that one would implant and I’m currently 24 weeks pregnant with our little girl, all has been well so far in the pregnancy, so it can happen, I know it’s disheartening I felt so low, but have the faith it can happen
Awww congrats darling I’m so happy for you ❤️Wishing you a healthy pregnancy ❤️Maybe one day I’ll be the one writing a similar comment 😃sending love to you & baby girl 👧💓
Heya ToughCookie, I’m also using egg donor. Our first donor was young, healthy but for some reason she didn’t respond to the stimulation. We got 4 eggs, 2 fertilised but arrested by day 5. Can’t begin to describe the devastation on top of the grief of losing my own fertility. With the second donor we ended up with 2 blasts. The first one was a slow grower too, went to day 6, but with research I found out that it wasn’t a bad thing and that more often than not it’s a female embryo. I was right! Alas it wasn’t meant to be. But we have one embie left and I shared the same worries as you about it not working but all that thinking was making me miserable and so I’ve more or less accepted that if it’s meant to be, it will work. If not, then I’ll deal with it then. The negative anticipation does us no good. In fact it can raise your prolactin levels which isn’t helpful. As your name suggests, you’ve gone through a lot. You’ll get through this too. Xxxx
Thank you sweetie, yes I’m still traumatised by a mmc at 11weeks I had in March 💔I then had one more cycle but got 2 4BB embryos which came back abnormal 💔so that’s when I decided to move to donor egg...tried to keep my head levelled and not think it’s going to be a breeze just because she’s young, but I really wasn’t expecting such a disaster....wishing you good luck! And thank you for your kind words 💋😊❤️
Really sorry to hear that....are you going to transfer this embryo if it becomes a blastocyst? I’ve had egg donation treatment in Spain recently with an egg donor and 4 blastocysts and one transferred recently but Unfort negative beta test this week....so will try with next blastocyst. The clinic is in Madrid- have been good so far but others you can approach too - wishing you best of luck x
Hi Ruby, I’ve already had the transfer, today I’m 2dp5dt ....see what happens. Sorry to hear your first transfer didn’t work, but we must persevere!!!! It’s good that you have frozen blastos! Good luck love! ❤️
Hey lovely, my friend ended up with two moluras that they weren’t sure were going to make it to blast so transferred them both a bit earlier and she now has twins. Sometimes there is no rhyme or reason with IVF, but there’s always hope! 🤞🏻x
They can change so quickly. We also did donor eggs. By transfer on day 5, we had an expanded blastocyst that had already stopped (we would have thought that was a dead cert). We had one expanded blastocyst and one blastocyst to transfer (this is where they were at in the morning). By transfer time in the afternoon, they were both beginning to hatch. We are 20 weeks with twins. We also have a third frozen that was a compact morula on the morning of day 5 and an expanded blastocyst by the afternoon.
Does your clinic offer any kind of guarantee? Ours guarantees 2x good quality blastocysts or no payment.
Congrats on your pregnancy love! ❤️Yes we have a package of 3 cycles live birth guarantee or 80% money back (Id rather have a baby though lol) mine was an early blastocyst when I transferred it at about 2:30pm...see what happens! Xx
This was our second donor round. After the first fail, we weren't feeling optimistic but you never know.Another woman from my clinic was in the same position as you recently. She transferred a morula (the only surviving embryo on day 5) and she got a positive. Good luck. X
I transferred 1 blastocyst 3CC, 1 ungradable blastocyst and 1 morula. I am 25wks pregnant. I don't know which made it but hope that gives you some comfort that it could have been the morula
Sending you lots of positive vibes! Is there any way they can hold off transfer and see how your morula does? If they gave it a hours it might be develop further?
