My wife and I are in the early stages of our IVF journey. She went for a walk yesterday and has been bitten a few times while walking in tall grass. She’s unsure if she can take antibiotics for this should they become infected for fear of this affecting the medication she’s currently on (Progynova).
Does anyone have any advice at all?
Thanks in advance,
Jas

I would avoid taking antibiotics unless absolutely necessary. Antibiotics can upset the gut microbiome and in turn the vaginal microbiome which when the balance is upset can negatively impact things (i.e. implantation). I'm taking probiotics to try to get back to normal following antibiotic use.
