Just wanted to see if this was common/ ask what people thought about this.
After 4 rounds of ICSI with my clinic Care, I only just found out they only do egg collections on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays?! I thought that odd .. what happens if you’re ready on Saturday (I know they aren’t open sunday) I know they time things and control it but would/ could this potentially effect out come?! All thoughts welcome. Sending 🍀🤞💕 thanks for reading !

I asked clinic directly about this in one round after they quite stressfully changed by day of egg collection at the last minute because they didn’t do egg collection on that day “anymore” - like WHAT. I asked them to send over the scientific papers saying that delaying egg collection a day or two is fine, and they did. I can’t find the paper they sent but it said it made no difference to eggs collected & fertilised. Hope that’s helpful.
our clinic count do collections at the weekend so they just don’t scan on Thursdays for triggering that day as it would mean collection at the weekend. They just make the decision on the Wednesday for Friday collection or on the Friday whether you will trigger at the weekend for Monday collection or need another weekend scan to double check. It’s never been an issue for us that I know of xx
I do find it strange when care said they don’t do egg collection or scans every day.I did 3 cycles with them and not successful yet.I am going to change the clinic.I do feel that care is ok for normal ivf/ICSI.But for complicated cases or no success after multiple cycles it is better to go with better monitoring clinics.
