8 donor eggs thawed but not looking hopeful

Last cycle we had 9 DN, 5 thawed and only 1 made it to 5 days and was transferred, unfortunately, a BFN.

This time we were more hopeful as had a different donor, but got a call yesterday to say the DH sperms motility when thawed was not good and things were not looking good.

They went ahead and used ICSI to inseminate the eggs but things are not looking good.

They said they will call today with an update.

I’m in bits as this is our last hope, does anyone have any positive stories that can bring me a glimmer of hope. I am trying to be positive but it’s so difficult

Oh I'm so sorry 😞 That wait for the phone call is awful. We had a terrible defrost rate with donor eggs and only had 6 eggs to start but amazingly all 3 made it to 5 day blastocysts.ICSI should help with the low motility so everything hopeful that you'll get a positive call today about how many have fertilised and then a few more days wait I'm afraid before you get confirmation of transfer with a little embryo.

thank you, we got a call earlier to say 6 of the 8 had fertilised, which was fantastic news after the trauma of yesterday.

They are going to call us back on Monday with an update but it’s looking more hopeful.
