After embryo transfer

Dear all,

I had my embryo transfer yesterday and I am now bed resting. The doctor advised me to sleep on my sides or back, but not on my stomach. I am feeling tired of sleeping on my back and a bit scared to sleep on my side, so any advice on how to make this more comfortable would be greatly appreciated.

Additionally, I wanted to ask if there are any specific foods that I should be eating during this time. I accidentally had some chocolate yesterday and I am worried that it might harm the embryo. If anyone has any advice on this, please let me know.

I am currently only doing small walks from my bedroom to the living room and bathroom, but I am feeling quite anxious about this. If anyone has any tips on how to manage this anxiety and make the walking feel safer.

Also, I wanted to mention that I have been passing wind and I am feeling anxious that this might not be good for the embryo. If anyone has any information on this or advice on how to manage it, please let me know.

Furthermore, I have been experiencing some constipation and I am worried about taking drops. The doctor said it's safe for me to take them, but I am still feeling hesitant as I am worried it might harm the embryo. If anyone else has been in this situation or has any advice on how to proceed, I would really appreciate your input.

I also work for online schooling and I am required to sit and record all my lessons during my absence , if I sit in 90 degrees angel will this effect the embryo and how long should I stay seated.

Thank you for your support and advice.

Best regards,

Doaa Elansari

Did your doctor recommend bed rest after transfer for a specific reason? I have been told by 2 separate clinics that it's fine to go about your every day business as long as you don't lift anything too heavy, do extreme exercise or jump out of an airplane! I went for a 4 mile walk after one of mine and straight back to work after another both of those stuck (ended in miscarriage later but nothing to do with what I did or didn't do). I think movement is encouraged as it helps blood flow to the uterus. As for food just eat a healthy balanced diet, lots of protein, fruit and veg, a little treat every now and again won't affect your embryos chances. Try not to worry (easier said than done I know) find a good box set to watch, maybe a comedy, laughter is the best medicine after all 🤣. There are so many old wives tales out there it can be difficult to know what's best. Good luck for a positive outcome ❤️

Hi Doita.

No need to wrap yourself in otton wool. If your doctor has recommended drops. Then go ahead with the

m. Plenty of veg and fruit and drink lots of water topreventconstipation. Good luck Diane

Hi OP, my advice would be the same as Tarasunny. During my 2ww I still worked my office job and watched loads of comedies on Netflix. I had 2 weeks of laughter and walking. Apparently movement, not heavy lifting is fine

Good luck
