Experiences of transferring a fresh day 5 morula which is excluding cells? (Age 43!)

Hi all,I'm having a fresh transfer this morning of own eggs and my update from the embryologist this morning was that I have x2 morulas to transfer, but they are excluding cells. They do this when they try to exclude abnormal cells so theres's a good chance they're not developing well.

I have two more that will be watched until tomorrow, but they aren't morula yet and might be running out of steam.

I had 17 collected, 15 mature, 7 fertilise normally and the others arrested on day 3.

I'm 44 in mid April so chances are running out.

I am hugely fortunate to have a daughter from previous IVF at 41. She was the result of a embryo frozen at blastocyst on day 6.

Feeling older now!! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Does anybody have experiences of transferring morulas or embryos which are excluding cells?

Hope all is good with everyone today!

Thanks ๐Ÿ˜Š

I certainly do!! I had a blastocyst and morula transfered who are now 10 months old! Funnily enough I had top grade blastocyst transferred which didn't work. So my experience is very positive!! Good luck xxx

I had an early blast do this in my second transfer. The embryologist said it is a good sign that its repairing itself as it was the fragmented cells that were being pushed to the side. Mine did stick but ended in miscarriage. Can't say the reason for that though. Good luck ๐Ÿ€
