Morula on day 5

Hi all. We had egg retrieval last week and got 8 eggs, of which 5 were mature and 3 fertilised. All three were looking good at Day 3 but just had our Day 5 update and 1 hasn’t developed any further and the other 2 have got to morula stage and haven’t made it to blastocysts yet. They’re going to give those 2 morulas another day to see what happens. Anyone had similar experience? Can’t find much online to see the likelihood of these morulas developing into blastos or if they often stop at this point? Any experience gratefully received!

Hey, we had a morula on day 5 and it then developed into a 'good quality blasto' by day 6. Equally I have seen a load of people on here have a morula transfer on day 5 and get their BFP... you are still in the game! Good luck x

Hi hun! My morula on day 5 is turning 4 months old next week 😍 I was so disappointed like you and I was about not to transfer it…but I did!!!! You’re definitely still in the game good luck 🤞🏻 x

That's amazing! Congrats! Seeing this story gives me some hope. We had 3 ERs but this is our very first fresh transfer - 2 (grade 2) compacting morulas.

I would love to know whether you had any early implantation symptoms? Anything else you did to aid in implanation? I have no symtpoms at all other than minor sore breast from PIO.

Thanks so much for your reply! :)

Hi hun! I had no symptoms whatsoever in fact I was so sure it didn’t work 😊I behaved like usual during the 2ww, so don’t worry about anything! Wishing you the best of luck xx

Hi, I had 2 x day 5 morulas which both turned into blastocysts by day 6 and were graded 4AB. You’re definitely not done yet! Good luck xx

Yes! Both my fresh rounds I had 1 morula on day 5 that became a full blastocyst on day 6. Totally possible, keeping my fingers crossed for you xx

I ended up with only 2 day 5 morulas on my 3rd cycle. Decided to transfer both and pleased I did as one of those is now a cheeky little one year old. Good things can still happen with a morula. Best of luck to you xx

Hi there! Thanks for sharing your success story-that's amazing! :)

On March 12th we were only able to transfer the two best looking (grade 2) morulas on (not what we had hoped for but the remaining arrested on day 5).

I am so nervous and anxious.

Did you have any symptoms during the 2WW? I have nothing at this point other than minor sore breast which I think is caused by the progesterone oil shots!

How soon did you test?

DI am too nervous and scared to test at all. Our HCG is scheduled for March 24th :(

Any special diets? I am doing warm liquids, pom juice, soups, brazil nuts, walnuts and the warm socks. Any tips from you would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much for your reply! :)

Hi, I had no symptoms whatsoever during 2ww and was convinced it hadn’t worked. This was our 3rd full cycle following a missed miscarriage and a negative so wasn’t holding out much hope especially with 2 morulas. Decided to test at 6dp5dt (11 days after conception) just to get it out of the way and was shocked to see the faintest squinter of a line on a First Response. Tested again on 7dp5dt and the line was definitely there and continued to get stronger in tests after that and HCG at 12dp confirmed it fully. No special diets, just general healthy eating and lots of rest and relaxation. I took the full 2ww off work to ensure I had no stress. Just do what feels right for you, wishing you lots of luck xx

You are the sweetest! Thanks a million for responding. That is very helpful. I also took 3 weeks off and trying my best to relax.

I am also very sorry to hear about your MCs but am so thrilled you ended up with your rainbow baby at the end. Thanks again love :)
