Weird over the top question: old sample of urine reliable for pregnancy testing?

So my OTD is tomorrow and I want to test my first urine for the day. However, I find I am waking around 4-5am and busting to pee then.

Do you think I could pee in a cup at 4-5am, then do the pregnancy test on this sample when I wake up at a normal hour ie 7am? Sleep is very precious to me these days, and I just don’t want to know the result at 4-5 am and not be able to get back to sleep because of it!

PS Still no symptoms whatsoever. Only vivid dreams from the progesterone

Hello! Yes, I have done this previously. You can store urine at room temperature for up to 8 hours apparently. If you forget to capture your wee, usually they say to have urine in your bladder for at least three hours before attempting to test next. Wishing you the best of luck and I admire that you can go back to sleep after relieving yourself without wanting to find out the result straight away! Definitely do that if that feels right for you, wishing you so much luck! X

I think by otd it'll either show or it wont. I've used am, afternoon and pm and it's shown the same. All the best for otd! ❤️

yeah you could or you could pee on the stick and not wait for the result or look at it? But by now you could test any time of the day to be honest and it will show on test day xx
