5 weeks 5 days....I know I shouldn't have.....but.......

I am booked in for an early scan on Tuesday due to problems before. I have been fine up until last night when about 7pm, I had pink blood on wiping, I had this 3 times on wiping before I went to bed at 9pm. Nothing on a pad this morning, however I have had brown blood on wiping this morning, 1st time was quite a lot, 2nd time barely nothing. I checked 2 tests and I have attached the picture, what do u think,? I have been on cyclogest pessaries since Monday night, 2 a day., I use these vaginally. I have slight cramps and lower back pain, I am going to call EPU this morning and see what they say.

try not to worry, bleeding is very common in early pregnancy and it’s only light bleeding you have had. Even the pessaries can cause irritation and the cervix can bleed a little.

Ring your clinic today, see what they say. They may scan you a little bit earlier.

Did you have a fresh or frozen transfer? X

that’s amazing, do you will have plenty of natural hormone production.

Have you contacted the EPU? Hopefully they will get you in for a scan x

I am just off the phone to EPU, they said just to keep an eye on things and if things get worse, if bleeding gets worse or I am in any pain, I have to call back but other than that, just keep my appointment for Tuesday x

I had bleeding and several epu trips until I was 9w6d. The pessaries can cause bleeding and if they do it's recommended to put them in the bottom rather than vaginally so don't irritate the cervix. I found it stopped the bleeding doing that. Drink loads so not dehydrated too. Good luck x

my last pregnancy that resulted in my little girl I bleed really badly at 5 weeks I thought there was no way could I still be pregnant & then a massive bleed again a week later and brown spotting then till about 19 weeks. She is now 4 years old. I had a massive haematoma with her which took to my 20 week scan to resolve! I’m luckily pregnant again and had another massive bleed last week and had a scan on Monday at epu and saw a little heartbeat! I know bleeding in pregnancy is scary and it brings out the worst anxiety but keep hopeful! Not long till your scan now. Better to wait a bit longer so they can definitely see something rather than scan too early and that add to your anxiety! Good luck lovely x

hello, it’s positive that the blood is now brown as it means it’s old. You’re quite early on and it could be implantation or the pessaries irritating your cervix. I conceived naturally with my son (after 2 rounds of ivf) and had a few episodes of fleecing around 6-7 weeks. My clinic advised to use the pessaries rectally which helped (and an EPU scan helped to relieve any stress). All the best to you xx

I just posted a long post about bleeding if you want to check it out and your kind of bleeding is def considered normal and just old blood exiting Vagina. Can I ask as I am 5w+4 how come they are seeing you so soon. Can they see anything so soon? They told me to come 7 w to hear heartbeat.
