So I have a 2 year old daughter who was from a double frozen embryo transfer!
I had a single frozen transfer in July last year which resulted in a BFN. Hit me harder then I thought it would as I was so lucky my first transfer resulted in my daughter. Decided to take a break after the failed transfer last summer and now decided to go for it again.
I’m 34 (35 in July) and my 5 embryo grades left are all pretty good 5AB 5AA etc. my failed transfer in the summer was from a single transfer. I am in two mins whether to do a double as it worked with my daughter in a singleton pregnancy. The single transfer obviously failed however I am worried with the risk of twins.
Help 😱 has anyone had a double transfer and a single that’s resulted in a bfp with 1?!

I haven’t but my beautiful little boy born in 2021 was a 5AA and he is absolutely perfect. We laugh together me and my partner and say he’s definitely A quality 😊.
I’m the same as you starting again for a sibling and there’s so much extra pressure this time. Wishing you all the best.
Sorry to hear about the BFN. It seems to be luck mostly, it's not common to have success first time, and unlikely that all of your embryos would be viable so it is probable that you just need to find the right one. I'd stick with single transfers unless you are comfortable with the idea of having twins. I've transferred 5 blastocysts from one cycle so far (mostly high grade AAs) and none stuck, clinic tell me it's just luck. The fact you've had a successful pregnancy before probably means there was a problem with that embryo. Good luck for the next transfer xxx
I had 2 double transfers and two single transfers. Both double transfers were negative. Both single ones were positive, even though the first one was an ectopic. The second single transfer, from frozen, is now my lovely 3.5yo daughter.
heya! I had my transfer yesterday and opted for double transfer FET. I’m 38, I’ve done 4 cycles in total, 4 fresh transfers so this is my 5th transfer.
The Dr recommended I transfer 2 this time (both 4BBs) as I have had 4 failed transfers before so she said I’m quite low risk for twins…
I wanted to go ahead with the double transfer as I only had 3 embryos frozen and wanted to limit the No of transfers so was willing to risk at this stage. If this was my first or second transfer I wouldn’t have gone with 2.
I’m not totally against having twins though, the way I see it is whatever is meant to be will be! I think the Dr will be able to tell you about the chances both will implant which is low for me.
Sending you the best of luck and hopefully a positive result whichever option you choose.
