Positive comments only-day 5 transfers

Hey I’m looking for positive comments only! Currently 2 days into a 2ww! Driving myself mad!?

I’m 40 and had two lower graded blastocysts transferred on weds.

On my first failed cycle I had the best quality day 3 embryo put back that didn’t work...

I’m trying to be positive, with the fact they have made it to day 5 but just want to know any people’s success stories or any positive vibes you can send me!

Much love ❤️

Hey! I totally understand the feeling of madness, it is so mind-bending what we have to go through post transfer so I am sending you lots of loving through the digital veil. You know what I ended up doing last cycle every time I started googling or even coming here? I'd drink a glass of water and take three breaths. haha I did this 10 years ago when I had to quit cigarettes too – it helps me to break the obsessive thoughts and not be a raving lunatic for just a moment.

You could definitely have a baby snuggling in right now and I would try to let go of the grading because it works out for so many women and there is not much point considering the alternative to it not working out, right? To buoy me up daily, I really like the quote attributed to Einstein which is, "There are only two ways to live your life: as though nothing is a miracle, or as though everything is a miracle. "

Lots of love xxx

You are welcome. Do you have lots planned for the coming days? Any wardrobes need sorting ;) ? Do you have any crafty hobbies? I am thinking of taking up embroidery for my next cycle coming up. Anything to keep me busy. Oh, I also deleted Google, Instagram and even messenger from my phone so that I fricking focus on life. I really think that quote is a game-changer as it generates gratitude in this process which is so inward facing. Oh, look at me wise willie over. HA! Is this your first cycle? xxx

Hey... as per post my second cycle... how about you?! Are you young? I need to stop googling!? You just don’t know if you meant to feel anything? If you feel nothing!? Have I done enough... can I do more?! It’s mental!? Everyone says be more positive but I’m expecting the worst xxx

I am about to start my second cycle and fourth transfer :s I am 30 but have lowish amh for my age and Mum had menopause at 42, so got to crack on! I don't even feel it is about being more positive, maybe it is just about letting go of the reigns and getting really curious about the fear?! I don't kknow.

I had a day 6 blast transferred on a frozen cycle. They weren't at all sure it would even make it to blast, and wasn't looking hopeful at day 5 but it made it, was frozen and transferred 4 months later. Its now jabbing me in the ribs with knees and elbows and is due on Christmas Day 🙂 Wishing you lots of luck x

Aww congrats babes!? Thanks for the comment!? Was your blast a lower graded one too?! Mine was slower growing! Thanks for the luck xx

My clinic didn't really grade embryos(or at least they didn't give patients that information!), they said they never found it helpful because there is very little evidence that grading actually correlates with success. I do know they transferred the 'best looking' one fresh in January which didn't take, and this one was slower to develop and was the only one we had available to freeze. Try not to get too hung up on the grading, the fact that they made it to day 5 is encouraging, you just have to wait and keep your fingers crossed I'm afraid. Try to keep busy if you can, I had loads of time off in my first 2ww and it was awful. With this one, I was straight back to work the day of transfer, and then worked every day until test day in a busy, active job. Didn't have nearly so much time to worry about it so it felt much quicker and not nearly as stressful. X

Thanks hunny! Yes I am happy they got to day 5 I actually had three that made it, and for my age it is good.... I’ll be back at work on Monday!? Hopefully that will help but so many questions go through your head it’s a nightmare!? Xx

Don't think grading means a lot, ours were fair graded - 2 transfers fresh and frozen both worked! Now 28 weeks with number 2. All the best for 2ww.

Have you ever heard of a website called embryo man?? Has an amazing site about grading etc he himself is an embryologist. He stands by the fact it just a beauty game with grading. You have 2 amazing little fighters that made it to embryo stage and I hope those little ones stick xx

Hey lovely, success for me with a double 5 day transfer 👌🏻 One of my 5 day blasts is kicking me in the ribs right now 😆 25 weeks along. The fact they made it to day 5 is definitely a good sign that they are nice and strong. Was it a great transfer or FET? x

Hey Hun!? It was a fresh cycle as the were not good enough to freeze they said?! I had another one so that’s why no spares!? We’re yours good ones!? Mine were slower growing too but hope it’s enough!? Not sure if meant to feel anything or what?! Need to stop googling! My other half is gonna go mad!? Xx congrats on your success! Makes me think it is possible xx

It's a shame you didn't get any to freeze but your 2 are back in the right place to grow now. I had 5 blastocysts in total, 1 fresh transfer which sadly ended in a miscarriage and then this double FET so I have 2 frosties left. These 2 were good quality, 5ba and 4ab grades but who knows which one stuck 🤷🏽‍♀️ Google can be both your best friend and worst enemy, I was all over it in the 2WW and early stages of both pregnancies, but I've started to relax a bit now. Hope this cycle is the one for you 🤞🏻x

And also, you might feel different or you might feel exactly the same, that is the total head f**k that is the 2WW 🙈 I felt pretty similar during both my 2WWs- pretty much no different to normal apart from I got a cold both times x

If they got to 5 days and made it to blasts then your wee ones have already done brilliantly!

My clinic won’t do less than day 5 frozen transfers and I was raging that one was allowed to die at day 4 rather than being frozen but they stayed firm to their rule. I got one to day 5 and I’m currently almost 12 weeks pregnant with my one and only chance.

Wishing you so much luck, stay positive 🤞🤞 xx

Thanks babes! So happy for you congrats! I do hope it works and someone is looking down on me! I had a day three transfer with the one and only egg I had last time and it’s didn’t work so thinking I got two blastos in there must help!? Don’t know what else I can do do help but I guess it’s just gone to nature now?! Did you feel anything when yours worked!? What did you do during the 2ww xx

I truly believe a lot of this implantation malarkey is just good luck. It either works or it won’t. I just stayed distracted, went back to work after 2 days, did yoga, upped my fruit and veg to 7 a day and lots of fluids. I felt different from 7 days after like something had changed but that could be my imagination.

I have everything crossed for you xxx

Honestly dont worry about grading. I've seen so many ladies with poor embryos get bfps and then ladies like me with good embryos fail. Makes no sense. Good luck x

Hey there...if they made it to day 5 and clinic thought they were good enough to transfer then they have every chance! We all get obsessed with grades....but we've all had top grades that failed!! So the way I think is that if it's the baby you're supposed to have, them it'll work...regardless of grade. So just be super good to yourself until test day. Fingers crossed for you and sending you lots of luck xx

Aww thanks Hun that means a lot?! Feel I think the worst in general then if doesn’t work I won’t be as devastated but I think I still will be! They said with my grade they have worked but they are on the poorer side!? 😞 god knows but agreed if it’s meant to be it will be xxx

Yes...no matter what you do now, if that's the baby or babies you're supposed to have then it'll all work just fine....take care xx
