if your clinic says to test on day 16, then yiu should do so no to upset yourself. I was to told to do this on day 14 and I'm glad I didn't do it earlier. You can see dozens of posts here like 6dp5dt bfn and then the same ladies post their bfps in a week. you see, you were told to have test after this time then there is a reson for this. Anyways, it depends on different factors and it's up to you to decide whether you should test early or not.
Hi. Today I am 5dp 5dfet and my test date is Sunday the 5th of March; that will be 11dp. I won't test before then for fear of a false negative, as that would only add extra stress. I didn't test early on my last cycle either. However 16 days does seem a very long wait... x
It all depends on how you feel really, with both my 5day transfers test date has been 11days later. I was testing from day 5 with first one and got a positive from day 6, still positive on test date but bloods confirmed a chemical. 2nd one which was a FET I got a weak positive at day 7 but by day 10 it had gone, so another chemical. I always test early as I'd rather know if I've had a chemical or just a straight bfn. It's hard to get your head round seeing a positive that slowly gets weaker, but knowing I've had chemicals although hard and the time gives me hope for the future as it shows my bodies trying to keep the embryo, just for what ever reason it then gets rejected. Everyone's different, but if I'd not tested till otd on the last one I would not have known about my chemical. Good luck to you 🍀Xx
