Hi all, please ignore this post if today/this week/month/year is feeling particularly rubbish.
After 5 years of trying; 5 own egg collections and 3 transfers (one of which ended in TFMR at 13 weeks), we decided to move onto donor eggs. We were lucky enough to be successful first time and our beautiful baby boy was born last week. To say we are in love is an understatement.
To those who have followed the journey, his head measured big on scans but he has come out with a ‘normal’ sized one and we ended up having an emergency c-section after 3 sweeps and induction were unsuccessful. I was slightly disappointed about this but he is well worth it and recovery is going really well so far.
During those 5 years of trying, I have been through some very dark times and there have been many many times when I thought we would never have our baby in our arms. He’s here now and I hope this post gives you hope and baby dust.
Thank you for all your love and support - there are many days this group got me through to the next day and I’m unsure what I would have done without your help and advice.
Sending love and luck,
Gem 🍀💕
