I have found youtube from CHR by Dr. Gleicher video claiming "Double the IVF Pregnancy Rates: Early Egg Retrieval for Women 43+" and "The HIER Egg Retrieval Method Helped a 48-Year-Old Patient Get Pregnant at CHR"
My trigger shot was mostly above 19-21 mm but the above youtube video says it should be between 16-18mm for advanced age. Could you please share your follicle size pre-trigger if you are above 40? just wanted to know if it really works?

Hi I am 40.First ivf attempt in March triggered when follicles were 16mm and 23mm-low ovarian reserve.Only had 2 follicles at the time but ended up with 3 mature eggs and 2 embryos.Second attempt in August again only 2 follicles(2 others but only 10mm and 11mm which were empty) which were 25mm and 15mm stimmed another day and then triggered the next day. 2 mature eggs and 2 embryos and now 20weeks pregnant with our rainbow baby🌈 .
Hi hun, I am 40. drs said if 2 follicles above 17mm, the retrieval would be arranged. however, my first retrieval was arranged when 19mm*2 identified, due to the fast growth of the two follicles in one day resulting 3-3.7mm increase. The fertilisation was better in first retrieval. This could be a coincidental. Have you checked with drs if different criteria might be applied when different stems or trigger would be used? fyi, I used Rekovelle and Ovitrelle for stems and trigger shot. Best of luck!
Hi, Thanks for posting. This is really interesting. I’m just 44 and had my 3rd egg collection yesterday. My follicle measurements before the trigger were 25, 17, 10 and 10. The clinic went with the view to expect only 2 at retrieval. We actually ended up with 4 and found out today that 3 have fertilised normally… but I don’t know what size they were and which was the one I lost. I used ovitrelle for the first time. Will find out tomoz how it’s going.
Hi Mom_Njai, I'm so glad you found the videos from CHR helpful, I found them great. I know we have messaged and you have my history there but I followed this protocol for my successful IVF, my lead follicle was seventeen mm. The clinic ideally wanted to stim for longer but I pushed for an earlier trigger. In subsequent cycles where the eggs have been big, twenty or above, for me, has not yielded anything of good quality. In saying this, my eggs have generally always been mature at collection, by triggering earlier some eggs can be immature if this has been an issue for you previously.
