Have you been diagnosed with unexplained infertility? I think if it’s a pre-existing condition you might have trouble getting insurance, or there may be a stand down period.
there are no insurance policies in the U.K. that cover anything related to infertility testing or treatment whether it’s pre existing or not.
the only way I’ve known it be covered is if you happen to work for an American company - insurance in the USA covers infertility routinely and sometimes the U.K. employees are covered on the same policies
Bupa covers Assisted Fertility on some work policies. It might be worth looking up BUPA online and see what it covers if you take it out personally rather than through a work policy.
Hi Lilly, probably not what you're after but we're going abroad for our IVF treatment and have been looking at Travel IVF insurance. There are a few places which offer specific IVF travel insurance. So far I've had quotes from IVF Travel shield and getting quotes from Staysure and Avanti.
