Travel insurance for IVF Abroad

Hello ladies

I'm planning to do IVF in turkey in august. Just spoke to my regular travel insurance company who said they can't provide me with medical cover for this. Also said he couldn't think of one to recommend.

Any recommendations?

Travel insurance. But they won't insure if your doing treatment abroad.

Interesting, we go to Spain for our treatment and just have normal travel insurance, I haven't really thought about this before. Xx

Normal travel insurance doesn't cover any medical procedures you have abroad including IVF. So for example if there were any complications in the hospital/clinic your normal travel insurance wouldn't pay out.

I checked and as I'm having DE I just need normal insurance as no general anthisthetic

Donor eggs, there is nothing really invasive apart from putting embryos in. However I'm going to Greece for a hysteroscopy and need it for that there is a company that girls on fertility friends use but I can't remember the name of it! They are reasonable you just cover yourself not your partner they will need normal insurance as cheaper.

Me too.... We just carried on... I think that is the general policy for travel insurance...
