Hello all,
This morning was my recommended test day (13 days post transfer) and I tested negative. I had a day 2 embryo transfer as I only had one viable embryo, unfortunately.
It's a big disappointment as I was convinced it had worked as I had been feeling so hopeful last week with what I thought were sure signs - sore boobs, dark red/brown spotting once when I wiped on day 10 post transfer that I had convinced myself was implantation but then since about 5 days ago, I felt nothing- almost back to my old self, save for the pessaries I needed to put in twice a day.
Since taking the test this morning, my husband found info online that says that with embryos transferred earlier than the norm which seems to be 5 day blastocyst, there could still be a chance for a positive result and to allow for up to 17 days post transfer to test. I don't know how to feel about this as there does not seem to be much info online about early embryo transfers testing positive later.
I still have the beta test to do on Sunday, but to be honest, I am not holding out much hope. Can anyone relate or even better, have any positive stories about testing negative on OTD and getting a positive result later?
Thank you in advance for any responses.
