Hi, I'm new to this group. I'm 5 days post embryo transfer. We were lucky enough to have had a high quality embryo that had started hatching transferred. However I feel like I'm losing my mind during the wait to take a pregnancy test. I cracked and took one early at 4am this morning (difficulty sleeping) and it was negative.
I'm experiencing strong symptoms such as bloating, nausea, tender breasts and mood swings. Only to feel like a big faker by having a negative test anyway after moaning for the last 3 days.
I'm supposed to wait 6 more days before the proper test that you're advised to do. I honestly feel like I can't cope with this waiting and don't know what to do. I'm either screaming at my partner or crying on his shoulder. I'm really disappointed in myself that I'm not handling this better. Feel lost and alone.

Try to stay calm as best as possible Hun. It's a really hard time and seems to last forever but it will come around. And it's still early days for testing just yet xx
I have found the 2ww horrendous. I only made a 3dt with 2 poor quality embryos, and I've hated ever second. It's so much worse than all the injections and collection.
Unfortunately it's pretty much over for me, 10dp3dt on an FRER and not even a squinter with FMU
Below is a timeline for both a 3 day and a 5 day transfer that I found useful.
3 day transfer:
1 day post transfer - embryo is growing and developing
2 days post transfer - Embryo is now a blastocyst
3 days post transfer - Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
4 days post transfer - Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
5 days post transfer - Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
6 days post transfer - Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
7 days post transfer - Morula is completely inmplanted in the lining and has placenta cells & fetal cells
8 days post transfer - Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
9 days post transfer - More HCG is produced as fetus develops
10 days post transfer - More HCG is produced as fetus develops
11 days post transfer - HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on HPT
This is what happens in a 5 day (blastocyst) transfer:
1 day post transfer - Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
2 days post transfer - Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
3 days post transfer - Implantation begins, as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
4 days post transfer - Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
5 days post transfer - Morula is completely inmplanted in the lining and has placenta cells & fetal cells
6 days post transfer - Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
7 days post transfer - More HCG is produced as fetus develops
8 days post transfer - More HCG is produced as fetus develops
9 days post transfer - HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on HPT.
Thanks, I appreciate the comments. I didn't think I'd let it get to me as much as it has. Not sure whether the hormones are making me so mental or if it's just the emotions of the situation. I've taken everything in my stride until this part and now I feel like I've lost the plot right at the end. Making a conscious effort now to stop obsessing over it until I know one way or the other ...
Just a little update - I tested again last night (day 6 post 5 day transfer) and I got a BFP! Over the moon! Although still know it's too early to get too excited. Kind of wondering when is an acceptable time to relax and enjoy it!
