Had 5 blastocyst, but 4 of them are of BC grade. Clinic said it is below average. I am over 40. Not sure what to think of it… i am sending them all for genetic tests…. I had better grading (BB, AB) ones 2 years ago, but honestly only 2/6 made it as genetically normal then. Both transfer failed…
And this round, w even lower grades, the wait to the PGT result just feel tiring.

Hi, I’m sorry your feeling low about you results. It’s such a hard journey. I just wanted to say I totally understand where you are coming from. I have my last embryo in the freezer which is a day 6 5BC. I had 5 embryos all together my first 5AA resulted in my son but we have lost the rest in thawing and 2 failed transfers. I was so shocked they didn’t work as they were good quality. I’m in catch 22 now as out last one is low quality and I’m unsure if I want to take the chance or find the money for another egg collection. They say they only freeze the ones worth freezing but it’s so hard to feel positive, I understand how you feel. I’ve done a little bit of investigating and from my understanding BC can work but I’ve not found many cases where it has. I would say maybe 1/2 out of 10. This is my worry. The odds are low, but they say it only takes one and it’s not impossible so am I just thinking too much. 😢
I think I’m a little negative as my better quality embryos didn’t work.
Can you not talk to your specialist and ask how good they are, fragments etc?
Sending you hugs xxx
I always think clinics make us so hung up on grading and the grade can literally change an hour after the embryo was graded so its not necessarily bad news, although I appreciate if you are used to better quality embryos you are disappointed.
For what it's worth a 3BC was the best embryo I ever managed with my own eggs and my clinic was really happy with it. We did manage to get pregnant but sadly lost it later for other reasons not related to the embryo.
My friends children were a BC and a CC, after 6 other rounds all with A's and ABs which all failed.
our little perfect boy was a 4BC 🤗 from what I was told that grading doesn’t really tell you about the ‘inside’ of the embryo is like just what they can see externally so they have as much chance as being genetically normal as a 5AA when sent away. Fingers and toes crossed for you xx
Women get pregnant with poor quality embryos that were not even good enough quality to freeze or PGTA test so I really wouldn't worry. My consultant always said that a poor quality embryo doesn't mean a poor quality baby! As long as it makes it to blastocyst there is a chance!
One of my twin is a 5BC euploid embryo. They are now one year old so grading isn't everything. I transferred 2 embryos thinking that 1 of them is BC quality 😂, little I knew than that BC can actually become a life birth. I transferred previously one 5 AB euploid and was a chemical pregnancy. I wish you best of luck 🤞😃.
