HiIf I understand correctly you had 6 embryos frozen? That's a good number! An embryo reaching blastocyst is a good thing. Not sure exactly but an expanded blastocyst is a stage further developed than a blastocyst, so that's good. The grading system is something your lab should explain. It can be different from lab to lab.

Morulas in general have lower chances of success if transferred at that stage however in here there have been success stories with morulas. I don't know about freezing Morulas. Just ask your embryologist.

Good luck!

You really need to ask your clinic to explain this to you as people on here could interpret it in one way when in fact it means something different. Good luck 👍

I agree with Skittles, different clinics grade embryos differently so a 1 at some clinics could be a 5 at others and an A at another one.. you need to speak to your clinic and get their opinion and clarity on their grading.

Morula is the stage before blastocyst and often seen on day 4 or 5.

Good luck x

Seconding what Skittles has said above. It'd probably be best to speak directly with an embryologist at your clinic. They'll be able to explain what this means in relation to how their lab does things. Different labs grade embryos differently.

hi Doita I came out of my transfer appointment in tears because all I had taken in was the numbers/ letters from the grading. I spoke to the embryologist from the lab the next day and she explained everything to me in layman’s terms - it made me feel much more relaxed and positive (as opposed to the 24hrs of tears, feeling of failure and confusion Id had when just going off the numbers and trying to compare to things from Google/ this forum). So I definately also second what’s been said above : talk to the lab at your clinic , they will be able to explain their notes our your embryos best.

Best wishes.
