CARE embryo grading CAREmaps

hi I’ve got a hatching blastocyst embryo grading 2,3 caremap 1/10 in the freezer.

The embryologist said it is good quality and due to it hatching it’s a good sign.

Anyone had success with low grade on CAREmaps?

Thanks in advance x

I can’t comment on success but I’m 10 weeks pregnant with a 2/10 caremaps graded embryo that’s a day 6. It was graded 2 which I think is a b grade. Wasn’t hatching.

I was told day 6 aren’t as accurately graded but I know you can’t help but worry.

Best of luck for you!

thank you for replying. That’s wonderful congratulations, and it’s also very promising. The embryologist did say not to be so hung up on the caremap score out of 10. That’s to see if the embryo has meet certain milestones in its development.

My successful embryo was 9/10 score, we just have this last embryo to use. I’m feeling positive though.

Best of luck to you in your pregnancy x

Hi, my successful round was caremap 2:2 not hatching. He's currently 7 months old. My 2 unsuccessful rounds were 1:1s. Good luck! X

hi that’s great, congratulations. thanks for replying.

Apparently CARE have the grading 1-4 for the internal and external part of the embryo then CAREmaps is 1 out of 10.

This embryo is 2-3 with CAREmaps 1/10, it’s viewed as good quality but I was just a little concerned re the low CAREmaps score. The caremap is to do with the embryo reaching certain milestones within a set time. So even if it’s a bit slower, but it has reached a hatching blastocyst by the 5th day that’s a good sign ( I will tell myself) But I suppose I will only know after transfer. I’m very grateful I have my son, so the pressure off really, although it would be lovely to give him a sibling. Not having anymore rounds, so this is our last go. X

Ahhh! It's so complicated isn't it. My embryologist said it's basically a beauty contest. My son was a mediocre embryo but a beautiful baby boy haha. We have one left frozen for a future transfer. I really hope this works for you! Fingers crossed!! X
