I am wondering if any same sex couples have had any NHS funding for IVF?
From what I’ve looked into, it seems to be very difficult to get. My partner and I are on our second round, which seems to have failed. Whilst we would love to have a family, the expense is getting beyond

Hi Frenchie. You might get some information here fertilitynetworkuk.org/even... Also if you email Carla Homerstone our England Co-ordinator, she will be able to discuss funding options with you. Good luck! Diane
Hi Frenchie. Yes it is. Email Emma Rees our Wales Co-ordinator emma.rees@fertilitynetworkuk.org she will definitely be able to help you. Good luck! Diane
We did ivf and it resulted in our 3 week old daughter. We couldn't have it on NHS they don't offer it to same sex couples . Plus we did shared motherhood x
hi, I’m currently in my two week wait going insane but that aside our journey so far has been bits of NHS and some self funded.
I started off denied NHS till I had tried myself three times (I’m 37) so we did four rounds of IUI pregnant first time but lost it.
After that I was allowed IVF on NHS each area you get different offerings ours was two goes which for me included first egg retrieval which didn’t go too well and non in the freezer and then I went again for another egg retrieval which went better but still non in freezer but an 5AA and 4AB inside me
Now I wait.
If this doesn’t go to plan we are back to paying again which sucks but I guess I had my shot.
Wishing you so much luck, your GP should be able to refer you to check if you are able to claim but like me you may need to pay a few times first.
