can I get some advice please im 6 weeks pregnant Iv started taking cyclogest 400mg and Iv had bleeding since using the perseries Iv got no pain and everything was fine before using the medication I started using I’m going out of my mind worrying Iv never got told it brings on bleeding im so worried any advice please. I’m on aspirin too to support the pregnancy as Iv got factor 5 Leiden. I’m really worried as I was fine before taking it. Iv passed a clot and just pink blood is this normal with this medication. Iv stopped taking it now as I freak out when I see blood and think the worst it would be helpful if anyone has any advice please it only seems to to do it at night and morning. When I go for a wee it comes out in that and drips down toilet I wish I never started taking them.
Thanks xxxxx

hi there , I don't have an answer for your question but I think u should talk to your clinic or doctor before stopping any medication, maybe they can give you a different medication?
I agree with Chantysal Lovely, I wouldn't change your dose or stop your progesterone without checking with the clinic. Give them a ring, and maybe ask if you can use them rectally instead? Much easier 😘 Hang in there! Bleeding is really common and isn't always a sign something is wrong xx
thanks for reply I never new you could put them in the rectum I’m still bleeding cos I’m on aspirin it looks worse m just worried. Still got my prey symptoms thank you xx
Hi Lmh. Sorry to hear this. However, you could try using the pessaries in your back passage, so as not to upset your cervix. Make sure you drink plenty of water just in case you could be developing some infection. Good luck and if all settles down again, perhaps you could move over to the "Pregnancy Support" forum where you will meet previous friends. Diane
thank you I have phoned them today still bleeding but seems to be easing off now I still have pregnancy symptoms and it’s been nearly 48 hours so hopefully it’s just from my cervix not the pregnancy xx
