hey guys,

Hope your all doing well, I’ve got the heads up to go for transfer next Thursday all being well 👍 excited but nervous at the same time, it’s my first ever FET, anyone got any advice to share please before and after the procedure, does the procedure hurt? How long does it take? How did you feel afterwards?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated ❤️

thanks I’m advance x

Sending lots of hugs 🤗 xx

hey 👋🏼 that very exciting 😊 the transfer itself is very very simple and feels similar to a smear and for most ladies not painful whatsoever. You feel absolutely normal afterwards (except for the excitement that you have an embryo on board) I am usually in and out the clinic in 15-20mins and the procedure itself is less than 5 mins. Wishing you lots of luck for next Thursday xx 🤞🏽

hey hun, awww Thankyou for taking the time to reply and sharing your experience 😘 it’s reassuring to know it’s pretty straight forward, I just can see because I have a tilted uterus it may or may not be bit more complicated but we will see! 😊 awww Thankyou so much, hope your doing well lovely xxx

Hi lovely. That’s great news about your transfer! I found the procedure to be completely painless and also a nice experience as the staff all seemed v positive and excited! I did have a little bloating and cramping afterwards, but nothing bad and it may have been due to the huge amounts of progesterone I was on. Xx

Hi sweetie, awww Thankyou for this that’s really reassuring so glad you had a lovely experience xx I suppose it’s the unknown isn’t it at first, we kinda used to bloating & cramping anyway aren’t we!! 😂 I start progesterone on Saturday, so let’s see what happens from there onwards!! 😊 hope your well hunni xxx

Hi Charlie. Most ladies do say a FET is straightforward and pain free. Just a tiny bit of discomfort like a smear test. Have a little rest afterwards but walk around too. No heavy lifting but stick to your normal routine where possible. drink extra water too while getting used to progesterone - if it is prescribed. Good luck! Diane
