I got a BFP on Day 10 via hcg if 208 so then began testing using a cheapy make just called 'am I pregnant' I then had hcg dine on 13p5dt this was 1298.Carried on with hpt. All was looking good till today and the line looks visibily lighter to me ๐Ÿ˜ญ what do you guys think.

I did have a wee at 3am with the others i didn't. And then had a wee on this stick at 7. So it should have been OK if everything was good.??

These tests do fade more after 4 or 5 days I've noticed so probs ignore the early ones as the line looked stronger on day 11 than that.

I do have another hcg today but feeling really sad now

Thanks in advance

Hi lovely,

Congratulations on your BFP!! The line does look a little lighter but so does the control line - so maybe it's a duff test - or perhaps it just needs to dry.

Line progression is the spawn of the devil. Fingers crossed for your HCG xx

Hi Millbanks. Thanks for responding. I think it should be dry as did it at 7am and took the picture just before I posted it. I was so excited this time with my second hcg. Pray for us today with bloods.

I find that they don't dry for hours.... could well be the 3am wee :)

Hey, I'm sorry you're feeling stressed. I know it's not easy especially with a long journey where losses have taken place. I agree with Millbanks about the control line. Also something else could be the hook effect although I'm not sure at what stage this can start to take effect (where HCG is so high that it overpowers what the test is capable of). You can Google it to see some examples. Also if you peed a few hours before that can also make a big difference x

Hi Skittles, thankyou for coming back to me. Got the anxiety just doesn't end does it. I'm hoping it was the 3am wee......Managed to stop myself buying a CB weeks. Just in waiting room for bloods at the hospital so will know by tomorrow. Will google the hook thingy. Lol.

Pray for us xx

Those lines look pretty textbook progression and for the hook effect if that's what it is, or just a dodgy test stick. Hopefully the bloods will confirm it but you could do the diluting urine thing that's meant to happen with the hook effect if it helps reassure you in the meantime.

Hi MrsOrangejuice thanks for replying. When I read about the hook effect it says it only happens either HCG of 500000 I don't think mine will be anywhere near that at 5 weeks??. I've had my bloods done so we will see hopefully later today if not tomox. I have peed on another stick to see if it was a faulty stick but think it look pretty similar

When I was going through similar worries (I actually posted about it too) someone kindly sent me this link which helped explain some things x avawomen.com/avaworld/false...

I know it's really nerve racking and I know, like me, you've had peculiar HCG patterns in the past. All I can say is I am thinking of you and wishing you all the best for your next HCG. It looks like a doubling time of just over 48 hours and HCG does tend to slow down too. Lots of reasons to be hopeful here x x

Thanks Skittles. I'm very much trying to remain hopeful. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™
