How much are progesterone injections (prolutex) equivalent to in terms of pessaries?

Hello,

Hope everyone is doing well. I am on 600mg of progesterone pessaries (200mg every 8 hours). It is a Greek brand called Gynalven (equivalent to Utrogestan). In addition I am taking a 25mg prolutex injection.

Does anybody know what this is equivalent to in terms of if I was just taking pessaries?

I was on 1200mg of cyclogest on a previous cycle. Is what I'm taking equivalent?

The context is that I'm spotting before OTD. Thoughts appreciated

hiya my doctor said I could choose between 2 prolutex a day or 2 utrogestan 400 and 1 prolutex a day as it was the same thing. Xxx

Thank you! So it sounds like one prolutex is equivalent to 800mg of Utrogestan progesterone. As I was on 600mg Utrogestan, my total equivalent would be 1400mg. That's the highest I've been on, so am puzzled why I've bled before OTD when I didn't on 1200mg of pessaries.

if you don't mind me asking, where you prescribed high dose progesterone due to bleeding before OTD? Did you opt for the 2 prolutex or the one combined with 800mg Utrogestan? Did you bleed before OTD with this? Xx

I have never bled before otd. I’d had a number of failed transfers and chemicals so I believe the progesterone was upped as a precaution. I chose 2 prolutex it’s much more expensive but I found doing it morning and night much easier than messing about with pessaries xxx
