essential Waitrose tests bad or chemical again

hey! Does anyone have any experience with the above tests? I had a positive yesterday on the ones given to me by the hospital (needed 25iu/ml) and the frer. Used an essential Waitrose this morning and had held pee longer and I got such a faint line. Anyone any experience or am I having another chemical? :(

UPDATE: viability scan at 7w 4d heartbeat seen and size was measuring as should - advice is to avoid essential Waitrose line tests at all costs! Meant such unnecessary worry and stress and not to mention the cost of living he 10 tests I did after that to make sure! 🤦🏻‍♀️

I think it’s best to stick to the same test, ideally FRER if you want to check line progression. I dipped a FRER and a cheap test bought online into the same urine and the FRER was a dye stealer while the other was still very faint. Best of luck ❤️❤️

thank you! I was going for a diff make as it’s needing higher concentration that theoretically I should have now. Going to ask clinic for a blood test

Check the HCG level they test on - I think FRER are 6 but sometimes Clearblue and Supermarket are something like 25.. so bound to be much fainter lines than more sensitive tests. As Habibi says you really can't compare one type of test to another, and try not to get too hung up on comparing same tests as one pack of FRER can have more dye in than another pack for example - they aren't an exact science. Good luck x

Hi sj. As you are getting different results, could you ask your clinic if they will do a blood Beta hCG test to be certain. Otherwise, I feel it is best to stick to one tester. Good luck! Diane

Hi sj. I hope they do the test for you, so you know where you are. Diane

so the clinic said you can’t test this early and so no. Redo a hpt in 2 days using a reputable brand!

I can home from work and did a clear blue digital and it came up as 2-3 weeks so 4-5 weeks pregnant. hoping that it sticks!!!
