I have had five failed cycles. 4 failed implantations and one early miscarriage. My mum asked if there’s any chance I could have endometriosis and not know. It never occurred to me. Is there any chance I could have it and not know? Could this be causing fails? My Dr hasn’t mentioned anything. Would it show up on ultrasound?
I’m now paranoid! Xx

Hello there 😊 I’m not sure if that’s the reason for your journey so far, but I had an emergency C section last November welcoming our IVF little miracle boy into the world I had all the tests under the sun and they couldn’t find anything wrong. When I had my E C section they found endtrometrious on one of my ovaries! It had never been picked up before. Wishing you lots of baby dust and happiness ❤️
Hi endometriosis can go undiagnosed for many women , I did not even realise I had it until undergoing ivf treatment I had none of the major symptoms only endo cysts will show up on ultrasounds which is how It was suspected for myself , they can only officially diagnose via operations ( laparoscopy) which I had & it was confirmed.
Although many do get pregnant & have healthy pregnancies with this condition too & some it can affect fertility . I think it all depends on the severity.
Sounds like you have been through so much with the miscarriage & failed cycles. Sending you strength in the journey ahead xx
Hello, sorry to hear about your failed cycles and MC. I have a very similar story, 5 failed ET and an early MC. I have family history of endometriosis, my fertility specialist is aware but when I asked about having tests done in case I had it too and it was the cause of my recurrent implementation failure they said that endometriosis usually only affects ovulation but not implantation. I'm about to have our last 2 embryos transferred so I hope they are right 🤷🏻♀️
Hi, yes, it’s completely possible, I have extensive stage 4 endometriosis with my uterus tethered to my bowel - I had no idea I had it as I’m asymptomatic. It was only discovered when I underwent a laparoscopy which was to check the patency of my tubes. I’m sorry to hear about your failed cycles. Sending lots of luck for the rest of your journey. X
I’m not sure how much it affects implantation but yes it is possible to have endo and not know. I had no symptoms. I did 4 ivf cycles and had 2 ectopic pregnancies. After surgery for my 2nd ectopic the surgeon said I had scarring suggestive of endo. Best of luck with your journey. Xx
