first timer FET yesterday - poor graded embryo

hello all

I am on my first cycle of ivf and had my fet yesterday. Clinic rang me previously to say the blastocyst had only just survived and is borderline. I went ahead anyway as it was my only embryo. Originally graded 4BC. I’m trying to remain positive and realistic. Hopefully some success stories out there with similar circumstances. Such a roller coaster and so many hurdles!!!

beat of luck. I had my fet of an “average” graded embryo today. Keeping my fingers crossed!

grading doesn’t necessarily mean that much…. Plenty of top grade embryos fail, and plenty have success with the ‘runt of the litter’ embryos! Don’t think about it too much, though I know it’s hard.

Best of luck dear, have faith. I went through that path a year ago with good embryos being failed. Now on cycle 2.

Hi. Do you mind me asking how you got on? I was 40 when I did my last good egg retrieval and my first transfer after 40 resulted in a missed miscarriage. I have 5 day 5 blastocysts left frozen but the quality is not quite as good apart from one.
