How many days before Egg collection should my partner build sperm up?

hoping to have egg collection on Wednesday… I’m at a new clinic and they haven’t said when he should last ejaculate… I don’t want the sperm to be to old…. Should he ejaculate tonight or is it to close to egg collection if it does go ahead on Wednesday?

I was always told 24-48 hours was optimal so maybe Monday night? We always went for 2 days before x

We always do a Friday for the Monday. So 3 days x

We were told 2 to 5 days by our clinic but annoyingly they only told us that when we were within 2 days so we had to decide whether to leave things be and it would then be 7 days or have sex and it would then be under 2 days. We decided to leave things be just in case we ended up with poor sperm sample like the partner of a lady who had posted on here in a post I read on that day, who had done the same ie under 2 days. Everything was fine for us and embryology confirmed count,motility and morphology were all really good on the day.

Hello. I would suggest checking with your clinic. Based on new studies we have been advised less than 24 hours but this is due to our circumstances - low sperm and motility. My husband has provided back up sperm for two freezes and the sample he did less than 24 hours was better than the one which was more than 24 hours. So I would definitely see what your clinic say.
