*sensitive* Spotting & bad cramps - 9dp5dt BFP

hi ladies,

Here we go again! So I have felt a bit weird the last couple of days after our traumatising FET and caved to do a test this afternoon! It was positive.

I feel a bit numb sadly after 5 other failed attempts (2 miscarriages) it’s hard to feel happy.

I have some brown spotting today - it’s 9 days post out transfer so still a couple of days until test day. I also have bad back ache and some quite sharp pains around both ovaries.

I’m just wondering if anyone had this and everything was ok? I’m so nervous, and bleeding for me has never been a good thing so I desperately don’t want history repeating itself xx

Whispering congrats! I completely understand why you're anxious given previous transfers, it's so tough. I definitely had ovary pain, sharp at times in the early days after my bfp. I too kept wondering if it was a bad sign as it was consistent and noticeable but the painful ovaries had no impact on the pregnancy. In fact, the research I ended up doing suggested it's quite common in ivf bfps. I can't comment on your spotting from personal experience unfortunately as I didn't have this but again I don't think it's uncommon. Have you called your clinic re the spotting? Just in case they want to tweak any meds or just reassurance everything is fine as is xx

thank you! ☺️ I’m just nervous and have no other good symptoms like sore boobs etc so just feel very vulnerable!

I’ll call the clinic on Monday which is my official Test day and see what they say! Maybe up my progesterone a little or something xx

I didn't really get sore boobs in pregnancy to be honest other than feeling mildly tender and that was really intermittent so don't let that worry you 😊 only 1 more sleep til OTD 😁 xx

Congrats on your BFP! Brown spotting is super common at this stage along with cramps. The spotting is usually implantation bleeding. You will likely have cramps on and off most of the first trimester as your uterus stretches xx

ah just saw this congratulations 🥳 so pleased for you! Spotting is really common lovely and brown is old blood still give your clinic a wee call for advice though 🤗 this is brilliant news!! Xxx
